November and December were busy months for custom orders for the holidays. This wine canvas art was one of my favorites that I made. I made this one for my cousin Pam. She had ordered other items for gifts, but this one was for her kitchen. I really like the wine saying that she picked out.
For the canvas she wanted an 8x10 in a horizontal format. She also picked out the background color and the font colors. She also wanted a wine glass and grapes. When looking at my other signs, she said she liked the swirly florish edges, so I could put that on there too if I wanted.
I started out with a light beige paint that is called Soft Suede. The saying was designed and cut out of black and purple vinyl using my Cricut electronic diecutting machine. Then I found some wine paper with images I could use in my huge paper collection. The images had brown outlines, so I went over them with a black marker. I decoupaged them onto the canvas. Next, I stamped the swirly flourishes all around the edges of the frame. I finished it off with some brown ink all around the outside and edges of the canvas to distress it some.
